Tangle on Tuesday!!!

I plan on tangling today! I just don't know what. LOL

Here's my entry to SuzyMosh Creations That's New to Me Week 2 challenge.
Our letter this week was C, now.. as a CZT one of the first things I did was make a binder of tangles, so I've tried plenty.
There are always a few that I just kind of think... eh...... I don't like that one so much and I try really hard to go back to those and give them a shot. So Suzy's challenge is perfect for me. It may not be 100% new to me, but ones I don't use will really force me to expand my horizons!
This week I selected Courant and decided to use it that day in my Tangle a day calendar. I did two variations to create a light and a dark and you know what?
Now, I suddenly LOVE this pattern.
Courant

I got distracted while working on Day 12.... but I actually like it the way it is. Whether I'll continue or not, remains to be seen. Seems a little like a cop out, but..... something about the simplicity of it is actually kind of cool.

So anyway, I'm going to create something, besides this cup of tea and pot roast for dinner. Mmmm pot roast.

But I'm facing a bit of internet block. Not really creative block but that thing that happens when you start browsing for ideas and get so overwhelmed with ALL the things you could be doing that you end up just spending hours looking at stuff?Yeah.. that.
Kind of like when you go to look up how to fix something on youtube and find yourself lost in the puppy side of Youtube until you stagger out 4 hours later realizing that it's noon and you are still in your pajamas.

That's not just me right?

Ok. Let's make something awesome!

Also... does anyone have Chameleon pens? I kind of want some, and I'd love to hear opinions. I have a gift card that I've been saving for when I saw something REALLY cool, but I've seen some conflicting reviews. Something about them seems to be calling me, but I'm kind of afraid that might be a gateway drug to Copics, which I've managed to NOT remortgage my house for. Yet.

Anyway... please feel free to let me know if you've tried them and if so, what you thought! I'm not a reviewer by any means but if I try them I'll let you know what I think. :)

  1. I do that dreaded Youtube thing at least three times a week. Talk about a gateway drug. I shudder to think what comes next.........it get plugged straight into your brain? I am also trying to get the "cookies for breakfast" monkey off my back.

  3. Lol. I know what you mean, only I do it with pinterest and blogs.. Start out looking for something specific but an hour and a hundred links later I've forgotten what it was I needed in the first place.

I don't know the Chameleon pens, but now I need them...

    1. I'm glad to see i"m not the only one that "NEEDS" stuff too. :) And yes... I call it "Lost link syndrome" and think it should be recognized as an official problem.

  4. Does it count if you have inspired your child to be creative? Well, I think so, so I'm submitting it. My son made a poster that he held up for Jimmy Kimmel to see at the OSU-Oregon game last night. Jimmy picked him out as a finalist for his contest. "Lord of the Poster Board" He was shown on TV during halftime!

  6. I saw the video on the Chameleon pens. They look pretty cool!

My piece for today is a mixed media piece I made using a Gelli print and one of my Silhouette Masks. I need to do some marketing for the silhouettes, so I did this piece, and I'll have another one tomorrow.

  7. Lovely tangles. Since they are official tangles, I don't know how to do Courant. I kind of have an idea on Flux. I like the yin/yang feel of the Flux picture.

  8. Love your post! No, you are not the only one...I get pulled in very easily, myself. Pinterest is my drug of choice, currently. So. Much. To. See.
As for your Day 12 of your calendar...it is PERFECT. I love that contrasting flux. Beautiful, and elegant with so much white space.
