Zentangle 101

Since I was knocked out of commission yesterday, I wanted to share pictures of the mosiac my class did on Sunday today. :)
It was a great class, everyone seemed to have a great time, and look at the beautiful art they made!

I set up a spot on my display board for our mosiac and I really like doing it that way!
Here is the board I was working on last week. (See the spot?)

I love sharing Zentangle with people, it makes me really happy.

And today's Bijouism...

While I tangle, I often pause and look around at where I've been . . . in other words, I look at the tangle I've drawn. That's easy for me . . . I just twist around my eye stalks! I've seen humans do the same sorta thing when they hold their tile at arms' length and rotate it this way and that (every now and then) while they are tangling.

Can you believe we are almost through our first month?!?!?

  1. Kelly ~ this is really something! I know the amount of work you've put in. What are the 3-4 tangles you taught for this first class? I would like to go in with 8-10 tangles so if some of the participants move along at a faster pace, I'd be ready for them.

  2. I used Static, Tipple, Crescent moon and flux for the first tile, then did Hollibaugh, bales, florz and printemps on the 2nd. I think 8 was too many, 7 was just about right.

  3. I always enjoy seeing mosaics from Zentangle classes. I love the similarities, and the differences.

For today's contribution, I finished the project taught by Brenda Shaver at Camerida. A 3.5" tile serving as a frame for a Bijou tile.

  4. I finished the Diva Challenge today and am working on another Zendala. I also fixed supper and did the laundry, had lunch with my sister and her 4 grandkids. I'm ready to chill now.

  5. Please check out my class's zentangles. We met for the first time today - after school, all 3rd, 4th and 5th graders! I was so proud of their work. They are so much fun to work with and lots of times I hear other teachers say this improves handwriting or concentration in class. I couldn't seem to find the link button above (could be me and my new laptop fussing with each other again), but here is my post with the pictures - http://penstrokesbycathy.blogspot.com/2015/01/day-27.html

  6. I wish there were classes near me. I enjoyed seeing everyone's tiles displayed after the one class I had the opportunity to take!
That's a wonderful board you made!

  7. I used my Diva's Challenge tile today. I am working on coming up with a journal to house my stencils, templates and possibly stickers.

  8. Awesome work.Just wanted to drop a comment and say I am new to your blog and really like what I am reading. Thanks for the share
