Skyline series

I have been working on these for a while, and I'm very happy to say that the first is completely done and will be being made into limited edition reproductions as well as notecards. I have 52 others so far that are in my artist queue so other areas will be popping up soon if you are interested in somewhere specific shoot me a message and I'll add it.

Here are close ups of each, notice that I had to watermark them in more than one spot. I'm disappointed to say that I've had people try and pass things off as their own on more than one occasion lately.
:\ Not cool people.

Hometown Pride

I've been working on a very cool skyline project for a while. I have over 100 cities I'm creating skylines for but right now I'm working on a series for my hometown.

Buffalo for my BuffaloLove Zentangle series

I love how these come together.
Here was the beginning wip pic of this one

If you are wondering about the skylines, you might remember this one (this was just a work in progress shot.
So that's one of the things I'm working on this week!

Hope you're having a good one!

Tangle on the Go kits... and finished Chicago

I've had a busy tangley week. I finished 3 of these, which shipped out (I mentioned them earlier in the week but I've had some requests for more pics and some of the various options)

Classic black with red. Colors that are perfect for my Zentangle® supplies!
(Personalized ones are fun too!)
The fat clutch handles make it look so cute!
This was a new style, with a tan and black interior, I love it! I'm going to do some renaissance style books with it!

I also finished my Chicago Skyline yesterday.
Sadly I've discovered I have to start watermarking everything.... it's usually NOT watermarked on my personal page, so if we're friends on fb you can see stuff without it or as always you can just email me and I'll share with people personally. There's a border that I tend to ignore so that's why it doesn't look quite straight but once matted and/or framed, it looks pretty awesome if I do say so myself!

Chicago, Zentangle Inspired Art, Skyline Project
I am loving these. I have a whole list I'm working my way through. Today though, my hand is a little tired, so I am going to do something a little less tangley today. (I have a Zendala class tomorrow I've been prepping for too!)

Work in progress

Working on the skyline some more.

Been binge watching Criminal Minds and being lazy this weekend, but tangling has been done. I'ts a little warmer here, but it's snowing again. (At least some of it melted before it started again!)
What are you all working on this weekend?

Chicago is my kind of town!

I actually adore Chicago, so when it was suggested for a skyline, I knew it was going to be my next one.
I spent one of the weekends that was the MOST FUN EVER in Chicago back in the spring in the early 90s. I stayed at the Hotel Lincoln, spend a day at the Lincoln Park Zoo, ate some great pizza, went to a fun wedding, realized that the offical shoe of the city seemed to be the rollerblade at the time and of course there were cocktails and dancing and so much energy!
Frank Sinatra said Chicago was his kinda town, it was also mine!
So I'm not very far with this yet.. but here we go.

Do you think it would be fun if I started posting the outlines before telling you where it is? And people could guess? :D
Kind of a "Name that skyline!" idea?
Just for fun?

Today's Thursday and the sun is out. Today's prompt is to do something that makes you think of spring!

Home Sweet Home... Buffalo, NY

I complain a lot lately about my 9 billion tons of snow and how it snows so long here, and I joke that I've been to a huge % of the world and yet still ended up back here, but there's a reason.
Buffalo is an AMAZING place to live, the people are friendly, there's a ton of culture, history and art as well as some of the prettiest summers anywhere.
Plus you know... Niagara Falls! (Which I almost never go to unless I have company in from out of town, you really DO take things for granted)

But Buffalo is a special kind of place. I've had lots of ideas of things to do to commemorate my hometown for a long time but it never felt quite right, until recently I came up with a plan.
Here is the first in that series.
Buffalo, NY  #buffalolove
I like this a lot, I plan to do a series of originals for Buffalo as well as skylines from other places for my shop.  I'll do originals and prints as well as notecards, which are things people have been asking for.

It was so much fun to do!

Now to get started on the next skyline!

What are you doing today?
