Happy St. Patrick's Day!!!

With a name like Kelly and a temper like mine (hee hee) you know this is a holiday that I'm happy to claim as mine.
Irish EVERY day but happy to have the rest of the world celebrate with me on 3/17!
I recently ordered the book "The Tangles of Kells" by Sandy Steen Bartholomew and am super happy to say that it is everything I was hoping it was going to be.

I've already got the framework of a class planned around it and I think I'm going to teach a couple of those in the upcoming months. (It'll include the book too!) Keep your eyes out!

I'll be making corned beef hash (no cabbage at my house) for dinner and playing some Leahy today. After the Cleveland "incident" in the early 90s, green beer is FOREVER banned :D :D :D but I just might have to try the guiness cake recipe my good friend Lizzie shared with me.

We'll see.

Either way,  here is my little Celtic inspired tile in honor of St. Patrick's day created using the Tangles of Kells. I am in love with this book already!

How will you spend today?

  1. I love the Tangles of Kells, and all of Sandy's books, She has a great way of seeing patterns and creating cool tangles.

For myself, I'm taking some of my large stash of Gelli prints, and my increasingly large stash of stencils, and making some note cards. More tomorrow!

  2. I cooked two corned beefs (what is the plural of corned beef, I wonder) just so I could have hash later in the week. Yum!

  3. I have that book and I love it too! Have you seen the movie she talks about? I haven't yet. We had cabbage for supper - hope it doesn't keep me up, lol! Here are my days 75 and 76.
