A long long time ago (cue the soundtrack to American Pie... ok scratch that but it's stuck in my head)
I stepped out a pattern I had seen in a church window.
I was in the car at the time and it was on the corner of a street that started with Br... that was all I saw. I think it was Bryant but I don't really know... I was paying attention to the pattern. But that's how it got it's name.
BrrrSt
I created a step out and posted it but it apparently didn't make the transfer over when I did some switcharoos on my blog and I wasn't getting many readers back then. I figured it had wandered off and didn't worry about it, I knew it had gotten pinned a few times on pinterest but that was all I knew about it.
Then in one of my CZT groups, someone asked about it and I dusted it out and shared it and everyone liked it. So I'm sharing it with all of you again, many for the first time.
(Glad I save so many random pieces of paper!)
I have something really cool in the works if you're interested in being in on the ground floor as well you can sign up for more details here
Anyway, what are you making today?
Love the new tangle. I'll have it in the next Weekly Roundup.
ReplyDeleteStill playing with digital art, and I'm starting work on final assembly for my new online class on bead embroidery.
It's a fun one. :) Oooh bead embroidery?? That sounds like fun!
DeleteThanks so much for sharing your new pattern. Something new to try!
ReplyDeleteHope you like it. It's a fun one to do! Very zen!
DeleteI see a strong resemblance to an old quilt pattern called "Cathedral Window".
DeleteYour rendition will be fun to do with pen and paper...the "real" quilt pattern is a bear to do.
:) Awesome! I'd love to see your version when you do it!
DeleteVery nice! Love it. Nathalie, CZT NY
ReplyDeleteThis is a lovely pattern, thanks for sharing with the rest of us! I like square grid patterns and will try this one soon. I wish the step-out wasn't so dark gray; makes it harder to save and print!
ReplyDeleteI can reupload it. My scanner was broken at the time!
DeleteLove this! Thank you for sharing!
ReplyDeleteThank you! Enjoy it!
DeleteAn interesting take on a new grid pattern. Love this.
ReplyDeleteI'm not normally a "grid based girl" but this one I love to do. It makes my heart happy and puts me in a zen space!
DeleteI did it on black paper with an orange pen......wow!
ReplyDeleteOh I want to see!!!!
DeleteOh what a pretty tangle, I love it especially as the street may have been named the same as our name Bryant. Thanks for sharing
ReplyDeleteThank you! It is Bryant Street!
DeleteWe have awesome architecture here!
Just found your pattern on TanglePatterns. This is great! The center really pops out after shading.
